The Australian breeder Paul Farah has a Shiba bitch by the name of Zara in his Shinto kennel who has a tendency to climb up trees if she picks up a strong scent around the base of a tree. In Australia, there exist possums (picture) which are similar to squirrels and Paul Farah's Shibas are very determined to track possums down given the opportunity.
